Action Steps to Avoid Plastics
Filter tap water with a reverse osmosis system to remove microplastics.
Choose fresh, unpackaged foods. Avoid canned goods lined with BPA/BPS. Never heat food in plastic—switch to cookware like cast iron or stainless steel.
As much as you can, avoid touching thermal receipts—they’re loaded with BPA. Choose digital receipts whenever possible.
Reduce airborne plastics with an air purifier that has a HEPA filter.
Wear natural fibers, and catch microfibers during laundry with a Guppy Friend bag. Detox with sulforaphane from cruciferous vegetables, eat fiber to bind toxins, and sweat it out with exercise or sauna sessions.

Yes. You read that right. Of course, my wife and I aren’t really perfume or cologne users, so what do I know? One major disclaimer: spray perfumes / colognes directly on your outer clothing and not your skin.
This is the game-changer in terms of toxicity. Yes – you will lose some of the “base notes” from the fragrance (from the oil on your skin) but it’s a small price to pay. Hopefully, in the near future, perfume / cologne companies will be required to list all ingredients so we can all make decent informed decisions on this front.
5. Household products, bed sheets, and clothing.
Your wardrobe and bedding: Unfortunately, synthetic fibres are full of potential DNA damaging and endocrine disruptors. It's a great idea to replace your bed sheets and sportware ASAP.
